Curatedartwork is a contemporary art platform selling online artworks by emerging and established artists from around the world. The artworks are sourced by our local curators. It is our mission to reduce our carbon footprint by connecting international collectors to local artists.
The founder of the platform is Corine Krijgsman a social entrepreneur. From the past, she likes the playful art by Matisse and thinks of him as a very innovative artist. Her favorite contemporary artists are Doris Salcedo and Mona Hatoum as they both create work that is firmly connected to their native countries, charged with memories, politics and narratives.
Head of curating is Pieter Sanders, art consultant and private collector with a passion for contemporary art. His favorite artists from the past are Yves Klein and James Lee Byers for their uncompromising influence on conceptual art. His favorite contemporary artist is Guido van de Werve who uses seemingly simple gestures to express a universal message.
