Philippa van Loon: "I started drawing this series as the pandemic developed all around us and forced us to slow down our pace to focus on the essential. Being in self-isolation, I felt the need to communicate and reach out to as many people as possible around the world. Thankfully through Instagram, Whatsapp and internet, we can communicate worldwide, following the same route as the virus in a way! But instead I want to try to alleviate people’s anxiety, loneliness and fear. By reminding us that we can unite and be together in this unprecedented situation, that everyone can contribute something, in my case this is a drawing, a piece of art that can help reflect and feel connected." Philippa will continue making a daily drawing during the Corona pandemic, until it ends.
